Replacement of a torn or damaged passport is free of charge. Application instructions are the same as for a normal passport.The Embassy is open to passport customers Monday-Friday 09.00-12.00. If you are unable to get here in the morning, please call to make an appointment.
The new passport is picked up at the Swedish Embassy or at any Swedish honorary consulate in the Japan.
For pickup of the new passport at a consular location, there is a delivery fee of JPY 900 and postal fee of JPY 560 (payable at time of pickup).
