Trade Promotion in the Embassy

One of the most important tasks for the Embassy is to look after and promote Swedish economic interests abroad. The Embassy carries out actions in order to promote Swedish business, trade and investments, gives support and advice to Swedish companies in order to facilitate their establishment, and introduces them to necessary contacts within the government or relevant agencies. The Embassy can also assist Swedish companies in matters regarding barriers to trade.

On a regular basis, the Embassy arranges business meetings for the Swedish companies present, in order to discuss the investment climate, trade and other business related issues regarding Kenya and East Africa.

Furthermore, the Embassy assists Kenyan exporters interested in the Swedish market, and informs about the existing possibilities for introducing Kenyan companies in Sweden.

The Embassy closely cooperates with the Swedish Trade Council in Nairobi, in order to distribute information regarding business possibilities and to find ways for cooperation between Swedish companies and relevant actors in the Kenyan market.
