The Philippines / Visa for visiting boyfriend, girlfriend or other friends

The following documentation is required and should be submitted to the Embassy in English or Swedish.
  • Application form for Schengen visa.

  • Appendix D – Family Appendix.

  • As from the 1st of October, this Questionnaire must be filled in by the Applicant.

  • Passport or other travel document with a validity of at least three months beyond the planned departure from Sweden. Photocopy of the first page of the passport as well as extensions and/or name changes.

  • Previous passport if a new passport has been issued within the last year.

  • Two colour photos not more than six months old, passport-seized (45 mm x 35 mm), full face and taken against a light background.

  • Copy of paid medical travel insurance (for more information see the page:

  • Proof of sufficient means if the applicant pays for the stay. The means may be shown by bank statement or copy of bank book.

  • Letter of employment if the applicant is working and granted leave from work.

The following documents should be provided by the referent and must not be more than 3 months old:

  • Appendix E (Referent’s Appendix), which must be submitted in original

  • Civic Registration (Personbevis) obtained from the Swedish National Tax Board (Skatteverket) Not older than 3 months

  • Passport copy of the first page together with copies of pages with entry or exit stamps to the Philippines.

  • If there is a Filipino citizen in the same household as the reference person, the Filipino person's Civic Registration must also be enclosed. (Documentation showing the relationship between the applicant and the referent, such as copy of house registration and/or civic registration paper (Birth Certificate authenticated by NSO on Security Paper or SECPA).

  • If the reference person will be responsible for the costs during the stay, proof of sufficient means needs to be shown by bank statement, salary specification or pension specification.
