Residence Permit for Employees

If you are a citizen of a country which is not a member of the European Union (EU) and wishes to work in Sweden you must have a work permit sticker attached to your passport before entering the country.

The following application process applies:

  • The application fee must be paid before an appointment for interview and is made to:

    Residence/work permit for persons 18 year of age and over is SEK 1.000. The equivalent in PHP can be given by the Consulate General.

  • Two (2) recent, coloured passport sized photos with white background not more than 6 months old. Photos should be of good quality.

  • Please do not staple, paste or clip the photos to the application.

  • Original Application Form for Employees 103031 to 37 and Appendix D 201031 to 32.

  • Original valid passport (should be valid for at least three (3) years) and old passports.

  • Passports with open lamination will not be accepted.

  • Original Birth and Marriage (if married) Certificates.

  • If employed:
    – Original Employment Certificate (stating date of employment, salary, permanent or contractual)
    – Original Certificate of Vacation Leave (with or without pay, when are you being expected to report back to work).

  • Certificates should be written using the official letterhead of the company and not more than one month old from the date of issuance.

  • Original College Diploma (if applicable).

  • Original Training Certificates (if applicable).

  • Originally signed Offer of Employment in Sweden on the Swedish Form "AMS PF 1704". The form is acquired from the Employment Office -Arbetsförmedlingen- in Sweden and should be accomplished by the Swedish employer.
