Residence Permit on the Basis of Relationship

The following application process applies:

For all applicants (including children under 18)

  • Contact the Honorary Consulate General to book an interview.

  • The application fee must be paid before an appointment for interview and is made to:

    The fee for adults is approximately 500 SEK. Student and other applicants who do not have a family tie in Sweden are subject to a fee of approximately 1000 SEK. Children below the age of 18 are subject to a fee of approximately 250 SEK. Children who do not have a family tie are subject to a fee of approximately 500 SEK. Information about the eqalent sum in PHP can be given by the Consulate General. A courier cost of PHP 300 is charged per application.

  • Two (2) recent, coloured passport sized photos with white background not more than 6 months old. Photos should be of good quality.

  • Please do not staple, paste or clip the photos to the application.

  • Original Application form 115021 to 24 and Appendix D 201031 to 32.

  • Original valid passport (should be valid for at least three (3) years) and old passports. Passports with open lamination will not be accepted.

  • Original Extract for the Population Registry (Personbevis) of the Reference Person in Sweden. Choose category Extract for the Population Registry (Utdrag om Folkbokföringsuppgifter). The Reference person’s marital status must be indicated and should not be more than 3 months old from the date of issuance.

Additional per application category

For single applicants:

  • Original Birth Certificate.

  • Original Certificate of No Record of  Marriage (CENOMAR).

For married applicants:

  • Original Birth Certificate.

  • Original Certificate of Advisory on Marriages (form #5).

  • Original Marriage Certificate.

  • Needed if the marriage was held in Sweden:
    – Original Certificate of No Record of Marriage (CENOMAR)
    – Original Vigselbevis/Marriage Certificate
    – Original Report of Marriage from the Philippine Embassy in Sweden.

  • Needed if the applicant was married and had an annulment:
    – Original Marriage Certificate with the remarks of the annulment decision.

For widow/widower applicants:

  • Original Birth Certificate.

  • Original Certificate of Advisory on Marriages.

  • Original Marriage Certificate.

  • Original Death Certificate of the spouse.

For children below 18 years of age:

  • Two (2) recent, coloured passport sized photos with white background not more than 6 months old. Photos should be of good quality.

  • Original Birth Certificate.

  • Original Certificate of No Record of Marriage (CENOMAR) (for children above 18 years old).

  • Original Travel Clearance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) if the minor is traveling alone (without one or both parents) or with another companion/guardian.

  • Original Affidavit of Parental Consent notarized/legalized by a lawyer, from the parent in the Philippines allowing the minor to live permanently in Sweden (if parents are separated or not married.) This is a must requirement. The child will not be properly registered in Sweden without the other parents’ consent.

  • Original Personbevis in English of the Reference Person in Sweden not more than 3 months old from the date of issuance.

  • Original Affidavit of Guardianship legalized by a lawyer executed by the parent(s) appointing the guardian in the Philippines.
