The Embassy's work

• Closely follow and report about the political, social and economic development in Iraq.
• Report about the migration flows and human rights.
• Handle consular and juridical matters.
• Support the carrying through of the Government’s country strategy for development cooperation in collaboration with Sida and other organizations.
• Strengthen the economic relations with Iraq and support Swedish companies in Iraq.

Matters concerning migration and passport for Swedish citizens are handled by the other Swedish Embassies in the region.
