The Embassy's work
The Embassy of Sweden for Iraq has mainly the following tasks:
Closely follow and report about the political, social and economic development in Iraq.
Report about the migration flows and human rights.
Handle consular and juridical matters.
Support the carrying through of the Government’s country strategy for development cooperation in collaboration with Sida and other organizations.
Strengthen the economic relations with Iraq and support Swedish companies in Iraq.
Matters concerning migration are handled by the other Swedish Embassies in the region.
