A fee is being collected in the local currency dong (VND) when handing in an application at the Embassy in Hanoi. Please check the fee at the Embassy. Please note that the Vietnamese documents 4 - 10 should be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (40 Tran Phu Street, Hanoi), or the External Relations Service in Ho Chi Minh City (6, Bvd Alexander Rhodes, HCMC). In addition, a notarised English translation of each document (including no. 11) should be handed in (two copies per each applicant).Please make sure that you have the following documents ready before visiting the Embassy. All documents must be provided in two copies:1. Two application forms, properly filled out in either Swedish or English and duly signed2. A valid passport or ID-card3. Two, recently taken, passport sized photos 4. Marriage certificate (if applicable)5. Divorce decree (if applicable) 6. Certificate of unmarried status (if applicable) 7. Death certificate (if applicable) 8. Decision on custody of children (if applicable) 9. Birth certificates of the applicant and the accompanying children (if applicable), birth certificate of the reference person in Sweden (if next of kin)10. Household registration 11. Statement of mother/father allowing the child/children to move to Sweden (if applicable)12. A recent copy of Extract of the Population Register, ‘Personbevis’, of the reference person in Sweden. 13. If the marriage is registered in Sweden, please show documentation of this.The Embassy reservs the right to ask for further documentation should this be required.No other person than the applicant will be admitted to the interview.
