In countries where there is no Swedish diplomatic mission, Sweden is represented by another Schengen state. Where to apply for a Schengen visaIf you want to visit one Schengen country, apply for a visa at the Embassy of that country. If you want to visit several Schengen countries, apply at the Embassy of the country of your main destination. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries but do not have a main destination, apply at the Embassy of the Schengen country of your first port of entry.How to make an appointmentAll persons wishing to apply for a visa to visit Sweden must make an appointment before attending and submitting their documents. Please enclose a copy of your passport, UK permit and a self-addressed stamped envelope for your appointment confirmation letter.How long is a visa valid?Visas are granted for a maximum of 90 days at a time. Only in exceptional cases are applicants granted a visa for a visit of more than 90 days’ duration, but never for longer than a year.
Where is a visa valid?An entry visa is normally valid in all the Schengen countries. In exceptional cases a visa may be granted solely for entry into the country that issued it.
