General requirements for Schengen Visa

A Schengen visa enables a foreigner to travel to the Schengen area. The following countries form part of the Schengen area: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. With a Schengen visa you can travel freely between these countries as long as the Schengen visa is valid.

All Visa Applications will be consulted before the visa is issued. The waiting period for a visa will be a minimum of (07) seven calendar days.

You have to apply for your Schengenvisa at the Embassy of your MAIN destination. If the main destination cannot be determined, responsibility for issuance of the visa lies with the Schengen state of first entry.

A visa gives the opportunity to enter the Schengen area and not a legal right.

The purpose of a proposed visit cannot be altered once the visa has been issued.

It is recommended you apply in the period that lies between three (03) weeks and three (03) months prior to entry to the Schengen area.
