Penal Reform International (PRI) for Juvenile Justice in the MENA region

This programme aims at providing a protective environment for children in conflict with the law in the Arab region, in line with international standards in particular article 37 of the convention on the Rights of the Child, guaranteeing that deprivation of liberty is always used as a measure of last resort and for the shortest time possible.

The program is managed from the PRI regional office in Amman, Jordan, and the countries targeted are Jordan, Morocco, Yemen, Egypt and Algeria.

The project covers three years and the Swedish contribution is SEK 7 500 000 (USD 1 000 000)
