Renewal of Passport for Adults 18 or Older

All passport applicants must visit the Embassy of Sweden in Ottawa to be digitally photographed and fingerprinted on site at the time of the application. Applicants are requested to make an appointment at the Embassy by telephone or by e-mail.

In order to be able to apply for a passport you have to have a Swedish Civil Registration number (personnummer or samordningsnummer) from the Swedish Tax Authority. This procedure, or a legal name change, has to be completed before applying for the passport.  Please contact the Swedish Embassy for more information.
