About the Embassy

To strengthen the diplomatic presence in Iraq is important for the political contacts, the Swedish development cooperation, the interests of Swedish companies and all of the connections between people and organizations in Sweden and Iraq, especially with the Swedish presidency of the EU during the autumn 2009.

The Embassy does not handle matters concerning visa and residence and work permits. Such matters are referred to Sweden’s other Embassies in the region (for example Amman, Ankara/Istanbul, Damascus, Tehran).
