Linnaeus at North and Nordicity Conference, Toronto

17 - 19 May 2007 - North and Nordicity, Toronto Swedish speakers and Linnaeus celebrations A conference bringing together scientists from across the world to discuss the Nordicity concept will meet in Toronto at the Munk Centre for International Studies from Thursday May 17 through Saturday May 19. Six Swedish speakers will participate in the conference.

This event will also be a part of the celebrations of the Tercentenary of the birth of Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus.  The Ambassador of Sweden to Canada Mrs. Ingrid Iremark will give introductory remarks on Linnaeus at the conference and Dr Heidi Hansson from Umeå university will speak about Linnaeus, Lappland and the Image of Sweden.
