Development Cooperation

The objective of Sweden's development cooperation in the West Bank and Gaza is to strengthen the peace process through social and economic improvements in the living conditions of the Palestinian people, and to help build up a democratic society.

The development co-operation focuses on three areas:

  • Direct support to the peace process;

  • Support for human rights and democracy, and support for social and cultural development directed to children and young people;

  • Support for the creation of conditions for sustainable economic development.
