International Training Programmes

Sweden arranges some 100 International Training Programmes every year in areas such as trade and industry, democracy and human rights, infrastructure and environmental issues. The courses are run in Sweden by Swedish institutions.

The aim is to promote human resources development in low- and middle-income countries by providing know-how in areas that are strategically important to partner countries and where Sweden has relevant expertise.

ITPs work to promote an exchange of skills and experiences between Sweden and its partner countries and involve a broad spectrum of Swedish society. The course content should be of direct benefit to the participant in his or her working situation.
