To facilitate the search for missing persons during a disaster, the American Red Cross has created a website where persons can register and let their family members know that they are "safe and well".All Swedes living in the U.S., or visiting, are advised to register on the Red Cross Safe and Well website in the event of a major emergency or disaster.It is very simple to enter your name and address and then choose from a list of standard messages one which you would like to have sent to your family members.
