Mando Diao on North American Tour and Live on Late Night with Conan O'Brien

Swedish rockers Mando Diao are back on another North American tour this month, following the release of their third album, Ode to Ochrasy.

With three full-length albums to date, Mando Diao is one of Sweden's most internationally established garage rock bands.  The mod-influenced quintet combines driving guitar riffs with an insistent focus on the melodic craftsmanship and straight-ahead sounds of the 1960s.

Ode to Ochrasy was produced by the band with help from Björn Olsson, formerly of The Soundtrack of Our Lives.  Slightly looser and more experimental than previous releases, the album is dedicated to the bizarre characters and off-hour adventures from their life on the road.  The first single "Long Before Rock'n'Roll" is already getting serious play on MTV2, Fuse TV and U.S. radio stations.

Mando Diao are no strangers to American venues and audiences.  They performed at SXSW in Austin, TX, in March and kicked off the current tour at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, on April 29.  They are making their way across the continent and are scheduled to play the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan on May 14 and Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ, on May 16.  In addition, the band will make its late-night television debut on Late Night with Conan O'Brien on NBC on May 25.
