Lars Jonsson – "Wings Over Northern Shores"

The exhibition “Wings over Northern Shores” features sketches, water colors and oil paintings with nature motifs from the Eurasian Arctic and Bering Sea by world famous bird painter Lars Jonsson.

The water colors and oil paintings on display in the glass-walled Anna Lindh Hall, portraying motifs from beaches and oceans, will blend with the transparent character of the water surface of the Potomac River. Lars Jonsson’s artistry is characterized by a passion for birds and their habitats. He has exhibited in many countries and published eleven books. His latest, “Birds and Light, the Art of Lars Jonsson”, was released in 2002.
