Swedish jazz has always spanned a wide range of styles, ranging from the classic to the daring and experimental. Several generations of musicians have made their mark on the Swedish jazz scene, including standouts such as saxophonist Arne Domnérus, clarinetist Putte Wickman, singer Alice Babs, pianist Bobo Stenson, bassist Palle Danielsson and trumpeter Anders Bergcrantz.STIM/Swedish Music Information Centre has produced a CD sampler with selected music from the Swedish Jazz Celebration 2006. The disc features several of the biggest and most exciting names in contemporary Swedish jazz, including Lars Jansson Trio, Fabian Kallerdahl Galore, Örjan Hultén Trio, Jeanette Lindström, Midaircondo, Jan Lundgren Trio, Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, and many more.
