Sweden at the Newport Beach International Film Festival

This year Sweden will be featured three times at the Newport Beach Film Festival with the documentary "The Planet", the feature film "Baba´s Cars" and a collection of short films by Jens Jonsson.

THE PLANET
Friday April 20, 4:00 PM
Thursday April 26, 4:30 PM

The Planet is a hot from the oven attempt to find answers about the truths and untruths of the alarming global changes that many claim are already in motion.

The visual style will unlock the alienated attitude many people have built up in relation to the subject: ”Please, not another bloody Climate Doomsday film!” The Planet is about much more than climate change - its about the Earth as a whole, it's about the overall global changes we are experiencing right now.

Tickets: $10

BABA´S CARS

The love between Jojo and Anso is put to a test when Jojo uses all their money to buy a gear box for his Mustang. To pay back he has to work for his shady father-in-law Baba. His first mission is to pick up a car for sale from Eleena. What he doesn’t know is that the real owner of the car is her husband Ivan, a Russian gangster.
