Swedish "fika" & open house at the Swedish Consul General's residence

Join us for an afternoon in the Swedish residence where we will fika and get to meet new people!

“Fika”  [fee:k -ah] is a very Swedish tradition which can be explained as a break taken from work or when two friends meet up, the purpose being to drink coffee and chat. These breaks are sacred, and there are usually two or three every day, so don’t be surprised if your Swedish friends or business associates are suddenly unavailable as they take a little caffeine break.
