The Patrik Ervell 2007 fall/winter presentation took place at Pier 59 in Manhattan on February 4 and was sponsored in part by the Consulate General of Sweden in New York.Born to Swedish parents but raised in California, Patrik Ervell attended UC Berkeley and is currently based in New York City. Ervell worked as a contributing fashion editor for V Magazine, took classes at Parsons School of Design and decided to start his own line of clothing in 2005. He has since emerged as one of the brightest and most promising stars in contemporary menswear. Ervell's goal has always been to move beyond references to the past and instead explore and develop an aesthetic that looks to the future. Steering clear of retro clichés and precious sentimentalism, he prefers to experiment with new silhouettes and fabrics. With a nod to Helmut Lang and Raf Simons, Ervell reinterprets and combines American sportswear with European sophistication. The result is a sleek, versatile and beautifully tailored collection of looks for the modern man.Patrik Ervell is currently available at Opening Ceremony and Bblessing in New York City.
