The Four Nations Initiative

The Four Nations Initiative (the 4NI) was an initiative taken by Chile, South Africa, Sweden and Thailand in 2005. It was complementary to the ongoing reform process in the United Nations after the 2005 World Summit and focused on governance and management of the Secretariat from a member state perspective. The 4NI Secretariat finalised its work on 1 October 2007.
