Sweden supports the Real Property Registration and Cadastre Project at the Serbian Geodetic Authority

The Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (Sida) and the Serbian Geodetic Authority (RGA) have agreed to co-operate in the implementation of the Real Property Registration and Cadastre Project, with Swedish support to RGA amounting to approximately 3 million EUR.

This project is a continuation of earlier Swedish support to the development of land administration and cadastre in Serbia. It had the aim of improving the institutional capacity of RGA and contributing to the efforts to bring the Serbian cadastre and registration systems in line with international standards. Previous Swedish support has been evaluated as very satisfactory, in many ways due to RGAs professional and committed implementation.

The present continuation and expansion of the Swedish support in this area is expected to last for three years. The objective is to establish an efficient real estate cadastre system, able to provide important public services for the customers as well as to contribute to property rights security, development of transparent property market and in the end to facilitate overall economic growth of Serbia.
