Swedish Home organization

The Science and Technology Office in Tokyo, which was established already in 1966, is one of presently five foreign offices belonging to the Swedish Institute for Growth Policy Studies (ITPS). The four other foreign offices are located in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Brussels and Beijing.

The ITPS, which in Sweden has offices in Östersund and Stockholm, is a government agency under the Ministry of Industry, Employment and Communications. One of its areas of responsibility is to analyze international trends of relevance to Swedish growth policy. ITPS operates its foreign offices in close collaboration with a number of other Swedish government agencies and organizations, including VINNOVA, NUTEK and the Energy Agency.
