Experience Industry is the expression used in Swedish while other countries talk about Creative or Culture Industries meaning people and companies satisfying the increasing demand and consumption of experiences. More and more of today’s products are sold by adding en experience to price and quality. Cars and mobile phones are examples of where the experience and traditional industries meet. Design, music and games are for example added value to Sony Ericsson’s mobile.
The turn over for the Swedish Experience Industry in 2007 was € 52 billion.
The Knowledge Foundation has identified 13 areas within the Experience Industry: Architecture, Art, Computer games, Design, Fashion, Film/Photo, Food&Drink, Literature/Publishing, Market Communication, Media, Music, Performing Arts and Tourism.
