Application fees

Application fees have to be paid in cash, in Russian roubles. Credit cards and other forms of payment are not accepted. Application fee is paid for processing of an application. It is non-refundable in case of refusal.

Application fees for entry visas

Entry visa (regardless from purpose, duration of stay and number of entries) for citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia

The following persons are exempted from application fee (normal handling time):

  • Pupils, students in higher education, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers if the purpose of the trip is study or educational training (only for Russian citizens).

  • Close relatives (husband, wife, common law partner, registered partner, child under the age of 21) of citizens of an EU-country, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

  • Close relatives (spouses, children (including adopted), parents (including custodians), grandparents and grandchildren).

  • Members of official delegations participating in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programmes.

  • Members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts judges.

  • Participants in youth international sports events & persons accompanying them.

  • Disabled persons and the person accompanying them.

  • Participants of scientific, cultural and artistic activities including university and other exchange programmes.

  • Participants of official exchange programmes organised by twin cities.

  • Researchers, if the purpose of the visit is a scientific research.

The following categories of persons are fully exempted from paying an application fee:

  • Children under the age of six years.

  • Members of official delegations, who are following on official invitation, participating in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programmes.

  • Persons travelling on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a close relative seriously ill.

  • Disabled persons and the person accompanying them.

  • Students who have received scholarships for studies in Sweden from Sida or other Swedish or international organizations.

The following categories of persons are exempted from paying an application fee:

  • Residence/work permit for persons with family links with an alien who has been granted a residence permit due to humanitarian reasons, refugee status or need for protection.

  • Residence/work permit for students at the World Maritime University in Malmö.

  • Residence/work permit for students who have received scholarships for studies in Sweden from Sida (Swedish International Development Agency), or other Swedish or international organizations.
