Opening hours

The Embassy's switchboard is open weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 17:00 p.m. These hours the Embassy is also open to visitors. The embassy is closed for lunch at 1:00 p.m. to 14:00 p.m. See below for the consular expedition hours.

Emergency calls

Outside the switchboard operating hours the Foreign Ministry's consular emergency can be reached via the Embassy switchboard.

The Consular Office

The Consular office handles matters concerning passports (acceptance of passport applications and delivery of finished passports), coordination numbers and individual inquiries. The Consular offices visit and opening hours are shown below. Note that you should make an appointment for passport application.

Visa Chancellery

The Embassy's visa chancellery handles matters relating to visas and residence permits in Sweden

Otherwise the Visa Chancellery is closed to the public and is only receiving visitors with a pre-booked appointment.

Change in reception hours as of February 4th

As of February 4th passports and decisions may on Fridays be retrieved between 9.30-12.30. There will be no telephone hours during Fridays.
