"The Apostles" by Michel Östlund at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine

The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine presents a concert and large-scale installation by Swedish artist Michel Östlund on June 5, 2005.

The exhibit consists of large suspended portraits of the Twelve Apostles and the opening event will be a spectacular interaction of art, light, music and architecture, featuring newly composed music performed by Swedish and American musicians, as well as the choirs of the Church of Sweden in New York and the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine.

Ambassador Kjell Anneling, Consul General of Sweden in New York, and the Very Reverend Dr. James A. Kowalski, Dean of the Cathedral, will introduce the exhibit.  The artist will be in attendance to present his work, and the opening will be followed by a reception.
