All application materials must be delivered in person by the applicant to the Embassy of Sweden or to a Swedish consulate in the US.

Application fee: $80
For pick-up of the new passport at a consular location other than the one at which the application was submitted, there is an additional processing fee of $17(payable at time of application) and an additional processing fee of $10 (payable at pick-up).

The fee for an emergency or provisional passport is $180.

Swedish Passport Applications

As of May 27, 2008, the Consulate General of Sweden in Los Angeles, will accept Swedish passport and National Id-card applications by appointment only.

Appointments can be booked during the times below:
Monday and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 12 noon
Tuesday and Wednesday between 4 and 6 p.m.

Swedish passport application forms can be picked up at the Embassy of Sweden or at any of the Swedish consulates in the US.

The Consulate General of Sweden in Los Angeles is responsible for the following states: California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Oregon, Utah, Washington State, New Mexico, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

After the application has been approved, it is forwarded to Sweden, where a new passport is printed. The new passport may be picked up at the location indicated by the applicant in the application. Note that the passport must be picked up in person and may not be delivered by mail.
