General Information About Visas to Visit Schengen Countries

U.S. citizens visiting for fewer than 90 days are not required to obtain a Schengen visa.

The different visa categories are as follows:

• Tourist Visa
• Visa for Business or Conference
• Visa for Visiting Relatives or Friends
• Transit Visa (airport only)
• Student Visa

All applicants for Schengen visas from the below states should apply at the Consulate General of Norway in San Francisco:
