"Double Shift"A charming comedy about paternity leave and manly-hood…Taxi driver Jonas (Eric Ericson) and girlfriend Emma (Lisa Werlinder) have recently become parents. In an attempt to be supportive of Emma, Jonas goes on paternity leave despite having promised his colleagues at the Taxi company to continue working. Jonas ends up taking care of his daughter during the day and sneaking out to work as a taxi driver at night. The unbearable situation eventually catches up with Jonas…
Double Shift is Maria Essén's first feature film. She studied directing at Columbia University in New York, where her film "Changing Directions" was awarded with amongst others, the Polo Ralph Lauren Best Screenplay Award as well as Premiere Magazines´ Audience Award.
