Seminar "Designing the Future – The Economic Impact of Design" presented by the Swedish Office of Science and Technology (ITPS) 3:00 pm in the Beyond Blond Showroom B203; Followed by a cocktail receptionSpeakers:Anne Kolmodin and Aurora Pelli, Swedish Institute for Growth Policy StudiesAnne and Aurora both work as analysts for the Swedish Institute for Growth Policy Studies. Together they have written a report on the topic of Design and economic growth which will be presented at the seminar.
Anna Stern, Studio Manager, MFA Industrial design, Propeller.Anna Stern first joined the Propeller team in 1996 after completing her MFA in Industrial design at the Umeå Institute of Design. In 1999 Anna started working at Refac design in New York before returning to Propeller as a Studio Manager in 2001.
Ramia Mazé, Director RE:FORM, Interactive InstituteRamia is a designer and a design manager focusing on user-centred methods for prototyping new systems, products, and concepts. She is currently director of the RE:FORM design research studio of the Interactive Institute in Sweden.Tisha Johnson, Automotive Designer, Volvo Monitoring Concept CenterTisha Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Design with an emphasis in Transportation Design. At VMCC Tisha works with a multidisciplinary team that develop both pre-production and long term strategic concepts; fusing business, technology, and design to create comprehensive results.
Nathan Young, Executive Vice President, Chief Academic Officer, Pasadena ArtCenter College of DesignNate Young graduated with Great Distinction from Art Center in 1987. From then ha had a successful career at several companies before returning to the Art Center in 2003 when he was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer.
