Fitness the Swedish Way Series: Nordic Walking with Malin Svensson

Experience the fitness phenomenon known as Nordic Walking that has swept across Europe over the past eight years. Nordic Walking takes fitness to a new level by adding poles to produce an unbelievable upper body workout – like cross-country skiing without the skis or snow.

Raise your heart rate and increase upper body strength simultaneously with this low-impact cardio workout. Malin Svensson, an ex-athlete and one of the leading authorities in Nordic walking offers a series of four classes during Beyond Blond.

Saturdays:  March 19, 26 and April 2 and 9

Nordich Walking at Santa Monica Beach
Meet at Perry's at Santa Monica Beach (at the end of Ocean Park):
10:00-10:30 am – Introduction to Nordic Walking;
10:30-11:30, workout with 10 minute warm-up and 5 minute cool-down).  
Followed by fitness talk over brunch at the new Urth Café on Main Street in Santa Monica. 
Cost:  $5.00 including Fitness Talk;
Brunch not included.
