Contacts between the The Federal Islamic Republic of Comores and Sweden have been very limited as well as visits and trade. Due to the recent military coup and internal unease no international efforts are made to support reconciliation and democracy, including general elections.
The Ambassador visited the Comores in June 2001 and became accredited.
