Burundi
The Swedish interest and relations with Burundi have intensified during the last years, mainly due to the increased humanitarian suffering caused by the civil war. Sweden is supporting the peace process and demands of all warrying factions to subscribe to the Arusha-agreement and to strive for reconciliation.
