Shout Out Louds are five old friends from Stockholm with a passion for lo-fi rock'n'roll and an obsession with various states of love-enduced anxiety. Since playing their first show at a small club in Stockholm in February of 2002, Shout Out Louds have slowly gained momentum on the international scene, prompting comparisons to bands like The Strokes and Built to Spill. The three-track Very Loud EP, which will be released in the U.S. on February 21, is the perfect introduction to the band's faceted, lovelorn indie pop. The title track burst from a CD sampler for Swedish music magazine Sonic to become a word-of-mouth hit.Shout Out Louds are scheduled to perform at the 2005 Coachella Valley Music Festival in California on May 1.The band's full-length debut, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, originally released in Scandinavia by Bud Fox Recordings, will be released by Capitol Records in the U.S. on May 24, 2005.For upcoming tour dates and more information about the band: www.shoutoutlouds.comPhoto: © Malcolm Fallenius
