We are four staff members at this office, and we work with providing information about Sweden, and about what is going on there.
Every day we get a number of questions from the Japanese and international communities in Japan, and from the press. These questions vary from "how to pronounce Jönköping?" to "what are the most recent changes in Swedish pension plans?" to "who owns the right to break the mine of Kopparberg?".
We also plan and arrange a number of press and cultural activites at the embassy. Visits by Swedish artist, academics and politicians, just to name a few, are introduced to media outlets by our office.
The exhibition hall and the auditorium of the embassy are great resources for cultural activites, lectures, exhibitions, film screenings etc. The facilites help us introduce various aspects of Swedish life in Japan.
