Swedish Development Cooperation in China

Swedish development co-operation with China began in 1979. In 2006 the Swedish Government approved a new co-operation strategy for development co-operation with China during 2006-2010 which aims to accelerate the reform process and promote: Environmentally sustainable development; Human rights, legal development and democratisation; Increased gender equality and social security.
