The VFS Application Centre is an initiative of the Embassy of Sweden to facilitate the application process for residents of Sri Lanka. Visa related services handled at the VFS Application Centre will be subject to an additional service fee. Applicants may also contact the Swedish Embassy to book an appointment in order to submit the application directly to the Embassy.

About the Embassy

Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

It is our hope that the links between Sri Lanka and Sweden will be stronger and deeper.

With this website we will provide brief information about Sweden and links to other sources where you can find more.

We also want to provide basic advice and information to Swedish citizens visiting or living in Sri Lanka.

We will try to keep the information updated and responsive to the needs of you visiting the page.

Geographical area of operations

The Embassy’s area of operations includes Sri Lanka and, for consular matters and visas, the Maldives. The Embassy represents Finland concerning visitors’ visas.

The Swedish Ambassador to New Delhi is accredited to Sri Lanka.

During 2009 the Embassy will be closed the following dates due to Swedish and local holidays:
