Trade with Sweden

The trade between Sweden and Jordan is moderate but there is a growing interest in establishing trade contacts. A few Swedish companies have their own branches in Jordan while many are represented by Jordanian agents.

Swedish export to Jordan amounted to approximately 670 million SEK in 2010 and the import to Sweden from Jordan amounted to 24 million SEK in 2010. This is an increase in both export and import compared to 2009.

On assignment by the Embassy, the Swedish Trade Council produced, in 2009, a sector analysis covering a number of potentially interesting sectors in Jordan: Construction, Telecommunication, Health and Pharmaceuticals, and Environmental Technology Sectors. The study includes an assessment of business opportunities for Swedish companies in each sector. You can read the full report under Related files to the right.
