About the Embassy

Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Amman, Jordan

The Embassy of Sweden opened in Jordan in 1981. Over the years, Swedish-Jordanian relations have developed and strengthened, building on the mutual trust that reigns between the two states. Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia paid a state visit to Jordan in 1989 and in 2003 their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania paid a state visit to Sweden.

Visiting hours: Sunday - Thursday 09.00-11.00
To apply for a Swedish passport you must apply in person at the Embassy.

When applying for a passport for children under the age of 5 we recommend you contact the Embassy to get an appointment since these applications might take some more time than a regular passport application.
