Cultural Section

Welcome to the Cultural Section of the Swedish Embassy in Moscow. The Cultural Section provides cooperation between Sweden and Russia in the field of culture, information and education. It represents the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Swedish Institute, Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education.

The Cultural Section:

  • spreads information about Sweden (the publications of the Swedish Institute, web-site of the Swedish Embassy, replies to the letters, telephone calls and e-mails)

  • supports teaching the Swedish language in Russian colleges and universities and arranges  Swedish Laguage Days

  • promotes contacts in the fields of theatre, music, literature, fine arts etc.

  • contributes to major Swedish and joint projects in the field of culture and education in Russia and CIS countries in the area of responsibility of the Swedish Embassy in Moscow
