Swedish Music Seminar at Union Square Ballroom and Live Showcase at Lion's Den

For the fourth year in a row, Billboard Magazine, Export Music Sweden and the Consulate General of Sweden in New York present a music seminar and showcase in New York on October 28, 2004.

The seminar will take place at the Union Square Ballroom and will focus on the unique and extensive relationship between the Swedish and U.S. music industries.  Moderated by Billboard's Fred Bronson, several panels featuring major music personalities from both countries will discuss the latest industry news, the hottest new artists, and the most interesting developments, deals and collaborations.

The seminar will be followed by a live music showcase at The Lion's Den in Greenwich Village, featuring four of Sweden's most talented and promising young acts:

Hell on Wheels
Short, energetic songs and clever arrangements have made this pop trio a favorite on the Swedish indie scene.

The Tiny
Acoustic lo-fi pop and a unique blend of vocals, keyboards, cello and double bass.

Prime STH
Power chords and adrenaline-fueled rock'n'roll is the hallmark of one of Sweden's tightest alternative bands.

Jamie Meyer
Sweeping rock ballads and catchy pop hits have put the spotlight on this talented young singer/songwriter.
