Trends in the Business of Music: Snapshots and Outlooks

A professional music seminar focusing on the current state of the music industry in Sweden and the United States and what the future holds for both countries will be presented by Export Music Sweden and the Consulate General of Sweden in collaboration with Sirius Satellite Radio, the NYU Stern School of Business and CMJ at Scandinavia House in New York on October 23.

The one-day professional seminar will explore the ongoing, extensive and highly successful relationship between the Swedish and U.S. music industries. Record label professionals, songwriters, producers, music publishers and artists from both Sweden and the United States are scheduled to attend.

This is the eighth annual seminar and judging by the previous seven years, the day will be filled with enthusiastic speakers presenting sometimes controversial positions, giving rise to a healthy interactive debate about where the current and future state of the industry in Scandinavia as well as the United States. It's a once-a-year opportunity to meet and network with real industry players from both sides of the Atlantic.
