Sweden in Hong Kong

The Swedish community comprises approximately 900 persons. Swedish companies are well represented in Hong Kong. Around 150 Swedish and Swedish related companies have offices here, several of them their regional head offices. There is a local Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

Swedish School
The Swedish School is a voluntary activity for children aged 6-15, related in some way to Sweden. Support training in Swedish subjects is given once a week (1½ hrs).

The Swedish Women's Educational Association is represented locally. This organization arranges, i.a., walks, study visits and excursions. SWEA Hong Kong

The association Svenskar i Världen (Swedes around the world) has a representative in Hong Kong.

Swedes living in Hong Kong
Swedes moving to Hong Kong are kindly requested to register with the Consulate General. In that way they will also receive the monthly newsletter, "Bulletinen" , containing news and tips for the Swedish community in Hong Kong. The Swedish list is also kept for emergency situations. When you move from Hong Kong definitely, the Consulate General should also be informed.
