About the Embassy

Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta, Indonesia. The mission of the Embassy is to represent the Government of Sweden in Indonesia and in East Timor, and to promote Swedish-Indonesian and Swedish-East Timor relations.

Sweden established diplomatic relations with Indonesia in 1950 and with the newly independent East Timor in 2002.

Today, the Embassy monitors and reports on political, economic, and social developments in Indonesia and East Timor. It promotes trade and cultural exchanges between our countries. It is also involved in promoting knowledge about Sweden in Indonesia and East Timor.

Finally, the Embassy conducts consular work to serve the more than 15 000 Swedish citizens who visit Indonesia annually as well as the Swedish citizens with permanent residence in Indonesia.

Visiting hours regarding Swedish passports and other consular matters
Visiting hours are Monday-Thursday at 13.00-16.00
