Visa for Visiting Friends (incl. Girlfriend/Boyfriend)

The following documentation is required to be submitted to the Embassy in English or Swedish on the day of application. An authorised translation must be attached to any documents in Thai. Please note that the Embassy staff can not assist with translation or filling out the forms.

• Duly completed questionnaire form (not required for married couples)
  
  
• Passport or other valid travel document with a validity of at least three months beyond the planned departure from Sweden. Photocopy of the first page of the passport as well as extensions and/or name changes
  
  
• Previous passport if a new passport has been issued within the last year
  
  
• Copy of identification card (no translation needed)
  
  
• Two colour photos not more than six months old, passport-seized (45 mm x 35 mm), full face and taken against a light background
  
  
• Copy of paid medical travel insurance
  
  
• Documents proving sufficient means for the entire visit such as bank statement or copy of bank book. The means should be equivalent to 370 SEK per day (if the applicant is paying for the stay)
  
  
• Copy of flight booking (The Embassy advises you not to pay for flight tickets before you are granted a visa)

The following documents should be provided by the referent and must not be more than 3 months old:

• Invitation (Referent’s Appendix), which must be submitted in original
  
  
• Civic Registration (personbevis)
  
  
• If there is a Thai citizen in the same household as the reference person, the Thai person's Civic Registration must also be enclosed
  
  
• Passport copy of the first page together with copies of pages with entry or exit stamps to Thailand
  
  
• If the reference person will be responsible for the costs during the stay, proof of sufficient means needs to be shown by bank statement for the last three months, salary specification for the last three months or pension specification. The means should be equivalent to 370 SEK per day and person
