Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Seoul

Our task is to represent Sweden and the Swedish Government in the Republic of Korea and to promote Swedish interests.

We do this by having a continuous dialogue with Korean representatives and through information and collaboration with the cultural sectors as well as with industry, public authorities and other organisations.

The Embassy also handles applications for Swedish passports, registrations of newborns, visas to Sweden and other consular and official matters.

Twelve persons work at the Embassy. Ambassador Lars Danielsson is Head of Mission and we have a Minister for Culture and Economic Affairs, a Minister for Political Affairs and nine locally employed staff. There are also three Swedish Honorary Consulates in Busan, Daejon and Daegu.

The Embassy has close contact with the Swedish Trade Council. We also collaborate with many Swedish-Korean cultural and friendship associations in Korea.
