About the Embassy

Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Athens, Greece. The mission of the Embassy is to represent the Government of Sweden in Greece and to promote relations between Sweden and Greece.

The Embassy monitors and reports on political and economic developments in Greece. The Embassy promotes trade, investment, tourism and cultural exchanges between Greece and Sweden. The Embassy is also involved in promoting the image and knowledge of Sweden in Greece.

Finally, the Embassy conducts consular work to serve the roughly 600,000 Swedish citizens who visit Greece annually as well as the Swedish citizens with permanent residence in Greece.
